Cookie Notice

The short version

Finalit sets no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies. Our product analytics is configured to store its identifier in your browser’s local storage rather than in a cookie, so nothing follows you around the web and nothing is shared with advertisers.

What we do store

• Your session. Keeping you signed in and your session secure. Strictly necessary: the service cannot work without it, so it needs no consent.
• Your preferences. Small local settings, such as your last used Lens, so Finalit behaves the way you left it.
• An anonymous analytics identifier.A random ID in local storage that lets us count things like how many reviews were run, and spot what’s broken. It is not sold, not shared for advertising, and not used to build a profile of you across other sites.

Being straight about local storage

“Cookieless” is a genuine improvement, but it is not a loophole. UK and EU rules on storing information on your device cover local storage in the same way they cover cookies, and analytics is not strictly necessary. So we treat the analytics identifier as something you get a say over rather than something we quietly exempt ourselves from. You can turn analytics off at any time, and clearing your browser storage removes it entirely.

Third parties

When you pay for a plan, our payment processor may set cookies that are necessary to process the payment securely on its own checkout pages. That is governed by the processor’s own notice. If you connect Google Drive or Notion, those services apply their own policies when you sign in to authorise the connection. Every company that touches your data is listed on the Subprocessors page.
